Gandhi Bookstores, a Mexican bookseller founded in 1971 with 42 stores and an e-commerce site (launched in 1996) that attracts about 1.8 million visitors annually and processes 15,000 orders monthly, struggled to sustain performance during peak traffic and promotional events like its annual “Hot Sale.” Limited visibility across DevOps and cloud infrastructure meant the team couldn’t reliably diagnose or prevent issues, causing degraded customer experiences at critical times.
Partnering with AWS, New Relic, and Menta Network, Gandhi migrated to AWS and implemented New Relic instrumentation—including Infrastructure Monitoring, APM, and Synthetics—to gain end-to-end visibility, set KPIs, and receive proactive alerts. This shortened detection-to-resolution times, enabled continuous deployments, and allowed the team to fix errors faster and improve code and infrastructure proactively, delivering a consistently better digital customer experience.
