Cash Converters International, a franchised retailer and micro-lender with more than 700 locations, runs its .NET point-of-sale system on Windows Azure. The IT team previously relied on logs and Azure machine-level metrics, which left them “flying blind” — unable to get end-to-end visibility into network/disk/CPU/memory, distinguish database from application problems, or see system-wide performance across distributed servers.

Working with Microsoft advisors, Cash Converters deployed New Relic in under a month, monitoring 400 servers and 135 applications via a quick NuGet install. The New Relic dashboard, Apdex and App Map gave near real-time, holistic insight into application and storage health, enabling the team to find and fix a memory leak that was freezing servers, respond immediately to an Azure hardware failure, and substantially improve overall system performance.
