A Netsmart Case Study
Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan (LSS) operates more than 250 programs across 115 communities and serves over 100,000 people annually. The agency struggled with decentralized billing—regional offices used different records, thousands of paper claims were created manually, and duplicate data entry led to errors and long remittance times (Medicaid often took four to six weeks, counties 30+ days), creating cash-flow and planning challenges.
LSS implemented Netsmart’s myEvolv EHR to centralize data and automate billing by integrating clinical and financial records, standardizing claim workflows, and providing a full AR/AP sub-ledger for real-time revenue visibility. The system’s flexibility allowed quick adaptation to state Medicaid changes (including reconfiguring 48 claim formats) and cut remittance time from weeks to four–six days, streamlining billing and improving financial decision-making.
