A Netsmart Case Study
Ada S. McKinley Community Services is a Chicago-based provider in the I/DD sector serving over 13,000 people. Its largely mobile workforce relied on laptops and printed records, producing long startup times (up to 15 minutes per visit), delayed or inaccurate documentation, excessive paperwork and HIPAA/compliance risks—particularly when rapid crisis response was required.
To address this, the agency rolled out myEvolv Mobile on iPads with a low-bandwidth, web-based interface, on-screen e-signature and encrypted data transmission, eliminating paper and local PHI storage. The change cut login/startup to 2–3 minutes, recovered roughly 25 hours per employee per month, improved documentation accuracy and security, enabled faster crisis response, and earned near-universal staff approval.
