A Netsmart Case Study
Seven Hills Foundation is a regional human services organization operating 170 locations in Massachusetts and Rhode Island with more than 3,700 staff serving over 28,000 children and adults with disabilities and life challenges. Facing industry shifts such as Medicaid expansion, accountable care and the high cost of behavioral health services, leadership needed a way to define appropriate measures and outcomes, break down clinical silos, and address operational issues like cancellations and staff injuries.
Seven Hills enrolled in Netsmart’s benchmarking across four service lines to track outcomes, identify causes of missed revenue and staff injuries, and align practices (for example, introducing brief “morning huddles” to integrate medical and counseling teams). The data-driven approach helped the organization refine measures, improve practices, ease accreditation, increase access to grants, and open new program opportunities—benefits leadership describes as a key differentiator even if not directly quantified in dollars.
