Twilio - Customer Case Study

Twilio, a global communications company, needed to scale its Twilio Console as the product grew to more than 30 products, 300+ engineers, and users in over 200 countries. Its existing micro frontend architecture was causing slow initial render times, especially for international users, and made cross-product navigation cumbersome. Twilio turned to Netlify to modernize the developer interface and support its growing scale.

Using Netlify’s Jamstack platform, High-Performance Edge Network, and Deploy Previews, Twilio migrated the Console to a monorepo-based Jamstack architecture. The result was faster global performance, with time to first byte improving from about 1–2 seconds to 30–60 ms for Singapore users, plus a 30x speed boost. The team also increased development velocity dramatically, shipping 10–15 times per day instead of weekly, and improving collaboration across engineering, design, and product teams through Netlify Deploy Previews.
