Case Study: Network Rail achieves reduced costs, risks and delays with Netcall's Liberty Create

A Netcall Case Study

Preview of the Network Rail Case Study

Network Rail develops a bespoke application using low-code

Network Rail, one of the UK’s largest landowners responsible for 20,000 miles of track and extensive infrastructure, faced fragmented, spreadsheet-driven Land & Consent processes with no single place to record permissions, easements or possessions. This led to wasted time on site, project delays, limited auditability and inconsistent property strategies. To address this, Network Rail worked with Netcall to build a bespoke Land & Consent Application using Netcall’s Liberty Create low-code platform.

Netcall’s developers and Network Rail teams delivered a centrally managed, proforma-driven application that routes requests to specialist teams, enforces SLAs and is adaptable to the new PACE project framework. Launched as a trial in June 2021, the solution has already delivered considerable cost and risk avoidance, full visibility of ongoing projects, reduced wasted time and errors, a consistent process and an accurate audit trail. Netcall’s Liberty Create also enabled rapid iteration and user-driven refinements, with phase two enhancements and a national rollout planned.
