A Netcall Case Study
A partnership of three NHS Trusts in South London started a New Models of Care pilot to improve inpatient Mental Health Services for children and young people. They wanted to reduce how far families had to travel for placements, since distance from home could affect the wellbeing of both patients and their families. Change Platform Consulting led workshops to understand the current state and design future processes, using Netcall’s Liberty Spark process improvement and mapping software.
Netcall’s Liberty Spark helped the team model different scenarios, clarify what happened and why, and identify duplication and rework. Within the first 9 months, the partnership reported a 75% reduction in children and young people from South London staying outside the area, an increase in local ward capacity use from 52% to 90%, and a 12% underspend against budget.
