Dell, a Fortune 500 IT company with more than 83,000 employees and a global infrastructure of over 10,000 network devices, faced the challenge of monitoring and troubleshooting traffic across worldwide data centers and WAN links. Dell deployed NetScout’s nGenius solution with InfiniStream appliances (more than 150 units) to capture and analyze deep-packet data in real time. The deployment delivered detailed application and user visibility, on-site support and training, and faster troubleshooting—reducing resolution time by about 90% in some cases—while enabling accurate capacity planning, eliminating nonproduction traffic to avoid costly WAN upgrades, and reducing downtime and performance problems.
