AAA WCNY Enables Hundreds of Employees to Work from Home During Coronavirus Pandemic with the Help of Navisite

AAA Western and Central New York (AAA WCNY), upstate New York’s largest member services association serving more than 880,000 members, faced an urgent challenge when New York’s March 2020 work‑from‑home mandate required staff across 11 locations to move to remote work within days. Insurance agents, dispatchers, travel agents and administrative teams needed secure, reliable access to corporate systems so they could continue serving members.

AAA WCNY partnered with Navisite to deploy a hosted virtual desktop infrastructure in days; Navisite built desktop images, manages the VDI from its data center, and supports end users so operating systems and applications run in a private cloud for stronger security and control. The Managed VDI supports more than 200 previously on‑premises employees (with roughly 750 other staff on remote routers and VPN), enabling uninterrupted service and a scalable model for future remote work.
