Empowering Visual Collaboration At UserTesting

UserTesting, a largely remote product team of designers, engineers and researchers, needed to make visual collaboration a regular, low-pressure part of their workflow rather than an occasional, stressful event. To accomplish this they adopted MURAL’s visual collaboration platform and template-driven approach to embed shorter, repeatable “mini-methods” (like a time-boxed “How Might We” ideation) into stand-ups and weekly meetings.

Using MURAL’s templates and facilitation patterns, UserTesting implemented pre-work, clear agendas, and short, frequent ideation sessions that normalize feedback and get more team members involved. MURAL’s solution made visual collaboration safer and more consistent, producing faster ideation cycles, higher participation in design activities, and clearer next steps for both day-to-day and large-scale problems.
