Case Study: Venmo achieves 36% increase in user engagement with mParticle

A mParticle Case Study

Preview of the Venmo Case Study

How Venmo Increased User Engagement By 30%

Venmo, the leader in mobile payments, faced fragmented and inconsistent customer data from tools like Amplitude, S3, Google Analytics and Crashlytics, plus manual event instrumentation across iOS, Android and web that caused redundant engineering work and sluggish SDKs. To solve these issues, Venmo engaged mParticle and implemented mParticle’s SDK and centralized data-collection/unified-profile capabilities.

mParticle consolidated 3.6 billion data points per month (130+ million events per day), merged unique customer profiles, automated pipelines to Amplitude, S3 and Redshift, and provided live-stream reporting and a single SDK to reduce vendor SDK bloat. Using mParticle, Venmo achieved a 58% reduction in vendor costs and a 36% increase in payment-feed user engagement, while improving app performance and real-time QA.
