MongoDB Takes Center Stage at Ticketmaster

Ticketmaster, the world leader in ticket sales, had spent more than a decade building apps on Oracle and MySQL but needed greater flexibility, performance and scalability—plus lower costs and faster time-to-market—while maintaining 24/7 reliability as it moved to an agile DevOps model.

To address this, Ticketmaster added MongoDB alongside its existing databases, rolling it out in TM+ (the secondary resale app) and planning use in a new Concerts app. Developers praised MongoDB’s ease of deployment and flexibility, and MongoDB’s MMS and Enterprise Support smoothed the production transition; the result was improved performance and scale, faster development cycles, and measurable operational and developmental benefits.
