Shopo, an Open C2C Marketplace from Snapdeal, faced the dual challenge of onboarding and retaining both sellers and buyers on a new chat-based app. To help users learn the platform and complete key actions like setting up stores and enabling payments, Shopo partnered with MoEngage and used its user analytics and engagement platform to deliver timed, personalized communications.
MoEngage implemented an “always‑be‑onboarding” multi-day push sequence plus Smart Trigger Pushes tied to user events (product views, favorites, etc.). The campaigns drove strong engagement—CTRs up to 30% (seller Day 1), seller onboarding CTRs 18–30% with conversions as high as 30% (Day 6) and 25% (Day 4)—and trigger messages generated 26–35% engagement.
