20X Improvement in Email Open Rates Helps EarlySalary to Reduce User Dropoff Rate by 5%

EarlySalary, an India‑based fintech that provides salary‑backed instant loans, was losing users at key stages of its multi‑step loan funnel (bank statement submission, KYC and loan approval), which hurt disbursal rates and conversions. To address poor email engagement and deliverability that was contributing to these drop‑offs, EarlySalary partnered with MoEngage and used MoEngage’s email campaigns, platform hosting and strategic email consultancy (including an Email Warm‑up Plan).

MoEngage audited EarlySalary’s entire email program, repaired domain reputation, hosted emails and images on its platform, optimized templates and personalization, improved segmentation and tuned send timing. As a result, MoEngage helped lift inbox placement (about 90% of Gmail recipients into Primary), increase open rates from ~1–2% to 25–30% and CTRs to 7–9%, and reduce user drop‑offs by 5% while driving a ~5% uplift in conversions.
