ZipRecruiter, the fast-growing job search site serving about 25 million job seekers a month, needed a faster, more flexible analytics solution than their SQL-only tooling to support heavy A/B testing and product experimentation across a two-sided marketplace. The product team wanted to reduce time spent writing queries, consolidate results, and quickly answer questions about search, onboarding, and apply behavior.

By adopting Mixpanel (widely used across product and engineering), teams built shareable dashboards, run Funnels, Flows, Insights and Cohorts, and moved to a server-to-server event pipeline for consistency with their SQL tool. The result: quicker experimentation and dashboarding (often set up in ~20 minutes), improved match and application conversion rates, clearer product decisions (homepage redesign, post-apply prompts, search revamp), and less time spent on SQL so teams can focus on the data that matters.
