Yummly is an award-winning cooking platform that personalizes recipe recommendations and simplifies meal discovery for home cooks. Facing the challenge of improving key product metrics and making data accessible across teams, Yummly needed a way to test design changes and better understand how users engage with features to drive more registrations and ongoing product improvements.
Using Mixpanel, Yummly built accessible dashboards to track both high-level KPIs and granular event metrics, and ran A/B tests to evaluate design variants. A test led by a product manager identified a winning page design; implementing it increased registrations by 11% versus the control (and 3% versus the old design), enabling more confident, data-informed product decisions going forward.
