TextMe, a San Francisco–based consumer tech company that provides free calls and texts to millions across 100+ countries (4.7 App Store rating), struggled with slow product iteration because analytics were trapped in internal BI tools and an expensive, sampled event-based solution. High event volumes made their prior analytics vendor unpredictable and required 10% sampling, producing inconsistent metrics, a backlog of analyst requests, and ultimately a loss of trust in the data.
In early 2019 TextMe moved to Mixpanel for monthly-tracked-user pricing and more reliable analytics.
