TextMe switches to Mixpanel for faster product innovation with reliable data they can trust

TextMe, a San Francisco–based consumer tech company that provides free calls and texts to millions across 100+ countries (4.7 App Store rating), struggled with slow product iteration because analytics were trapped in internal BI tools and an expensive, sampled event-based solution. High event volumes made their prior analytics vendor unpredictable and required 10% sampling, producing inconsistent metrics, a backlog of analyst requests, and ultimately a loss of trust in the data.

In early 2019 TextMe moved to Mixpanel for monthly-tracked-user pricing and more reliable analytics. By using Mixpanel’s Funnels and Flows the small product team can self-serve answers, quickly identify user paths and dropoffs, and make confident product decisions — achieving predictable costs, trustworthy data, and faster product innovation.
