How OLX improved funnel conversions for its online marketplace with Mixpanel

OLX is a global classified-ads marketplace operating in 40 countries that handles massive scale — about 1.7 billion visits and 54 million listings monthly. Facing a need to consolidate regional apps, improve data governance, and better understand the full user journey, OLX aimed to reduce drop-off in posting flows and increase funnel conversion while iterating product features for sellers and buyers.

Using Mixpanel (Core Reports and JQL), OLX instrumented more than 500 events with 1,000+ properties to run granular funnel and last-touch analyses. The team pinpointed friction points (unnecessary form fields, unclear pricing on the multi-pay page), tested changes, and improved the posting experience; as a result Mixpanel became OLX’s primary analytics source and helped drive measurable improvements in product performance and funnel conversions.
