Betterment, the digital investment advisor, needed a better way to bridge Product and Analytics and understand user behavior across its platform. Using Mixpanel alongside Hightouch, Betterment wanted to improve customer experience, monitor funnels and feature changes, and add richer customer context to its product analytics.
Mixpanel and Hightouch enabled Betterment to send Redshift data into Mixpanel user properties, segment reports by customer groups, and analyze journeys, drop-off, and onboarding more effectively. As a result, Betterment gained deployment insights, improved funnel performance, and enhanced its customer experience, with Mixpanel becoming a “universal language” across product, design, engineering, and analytics.
