Case Study: Veritas achieves seamless migration to VoIP, greater mobility and simplified operations with Mitel VoIP solutions

A Mitel Case Study

Preview of the Veritas Technologies Case Study

Veritas chooses Mitel VoIP solutions to achieve greater mobility and flexibility at a local level

Veritas, the Venice-based multi-utility serving 30 municipalities, about 750,000 residents and some 2,200 employees, needed to migrate from disparate TDM PBXs to a single-vendor IP telephony platform without disrupting users. With widely distributed operations and frequent staff moves, the company required number portability, protection of existing infrastructure investments, and simpler relocation and maintenance processes.

Veritas deployed clustered Mitel 3300 MXe II controllers with roughly 1,150 IP terminals (750 at headquarters, 400 across 30 remote sites) and about 80 SIP FOIP lines, plus Mitel wireless kits, migrating seamlessly while retaining legacy services. The rollout standardized equipment, drastically reduced IMAC activity, simplified configuration and support, improved local mobility and flexibility, and freed IT resources for innovation while enabling future service growth.
