UC Upgrade for the TYKS communication systems

Turku University Hospital (TYKS), the core of the Intermunicipal Hospital District of Southwest Finland (VSSHP ky) with roughly 6,500 staff and multiple branch sites across the region, needed more reliable, efficient communications for its geographically dispersed operations. The hospital’s goals were to improve internal information flow and reachability, manage personnel resources, clear telephone queues and provide more flexible, responsive customer service around the clock.

TYKS deployed Mitel’s MX-ONE, CMG and Solidus eCare alongside DECT and IP phones, with equipment and maintenance from Elisa, integrating voice and data for about 8,000 users. The unified solution routes peak calls to available agents, helps anticipate demand from call data and has produced faster connections, shorter queues and response times, smoother information flow, improved customer service and measurable cost savings.
