Measurement Inc., a 600‑person testing and certification company that supports large seasonal spikes from its 58‑seat contact center, needed a more reliable, scalable and cost‑effective voice system to support growth to over 1,000 connected devices and to avoid vendor lock‑in. Their legacy 3Com solution couldn’t meet virtualization, failover or licensing requirements, and restoring voice services was manual and slow — a major risk during the high‑volume spring testing season.

They deployed Mitel’s virtual voice portfolio (vMCD, vMAS, vCCS, vMBG, vUCA) on VMware vSphere with vMotion, HA and Data Recovery, enabling full voice virtualization alongside other datacenter apps. The result was improved reliability and disaster recovery, rapid failover and minute‑scale restores, SIP‑based flexibility for easier capacity changes and centralized routing, and lower CapEx and OpEx — allowing Measurement to survive unprecedented call volumes and scale cost‑effectively.
