Salt River Fields - Customer Case Study

Salt River Fields in Phoenix, owned by the Salt River Pima‑Maricopa Indian Community, is the new Spring Training home for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies and the first MLB Spring Training facility on Native American land. The 11,000‑seat complex needed a multi‑tenant, user‑friendly telecom system that could support three separate organizations under one roof, accommodate large seasonal staffing changes, allow rapid addition/removal of users, and do so in a cost‑effective way.

SRPMIC chose Saddleback’s BusinessFlex Hosted iPBX — a fully managed, Metaswitch‑based hosted solution with CommPortal, unified messaging, and Aastra SIP phones (about 220 units). The turnkey service delivered out‑of‑the‑box multi‑tenancy, web self‑administration, rapid provisioning and an OPEX pricing model, enabling phones to be moved or added quickly and supporting seasonal team turnover. The deployment met the opening schedule and provided a reliable, flexible, and easy‑to‑administer system without large upfront capital expenditure.
