A Mitel Case Study

Preview of the Riso Scotti Case Study

Riso Scotti S.p.A. streamlines infrastructures using Mitel’s VoIP

Riso Scotti S.p.A., a fifth‑generation Italian rice producer founded in 1860 and selling to more than 60 countries, needed to modernize its communications after building a new office. The company required greater workforce mobility (including managers who travel internationally), seamless migration from TDM to IP, Outlook/Exchange integration, simplified staff relocation and maintenance, preservation of existing numbers and infrastructure, and cost‑effective management of telephony services.

Riso Scotti deployed a Mitel 3300 MXe solution with 80 Mitel IP phones (5312/5324/5340), about 50 analogue handsets, 20 DECT mobiles and voicemail, plus softphone, teleworker, mobile extension and unified‑messaging clients for Outlook. The rollout delivered a single converged network, easier configuration and maintenance, smooth Outlook/Exchange integration, protected prior investments and greater flexibility to support mobility and evolving business needs.
