Community Physicians Group (CPG), a nine-clinic network serving patients across Arkansas and Oklahoma, needed a more reliable, manageable phone system to support 24/7 uptime, compliance initiatives, and multi-site operations. Their aging telephony required costly service calls and monthly premiums, and IT leadership needed a budget-friendly solution that could be rolled out in phases without disrupting patient care.
CPG deployed Mitel VoIP with 73 IP400 phones and Mitel Communicator, running over the existing MPLS network and integrating with its legacy system for a staged rollout. Features like softphones, presence indicators, name dialing, hunt groups, TelMed after-hours forwarding and self-service routing reduced missed calls, enabled same‑day patient callbacks, cut costs, supported remote work, and simplified in‑house maintenance with an intuitive interface.
