Case Study: Ironbark Aboriginal Corporation achieves unified communications, higher productivity and reduced IT costs with Mitel

A Mitel Case Study

Preview of the Ironbark Aboriginal Corporation Case Study

Mitel delivers the sustainable and engaging ICT environment Ironbark Aboriginal Corporation needs to improve lives and transform Aboriginal communities

Ironbark Aboriginal Corporation is a Darwin-based not-for-profit that delivers community, employment and economic services across the vast Darwin/Daly region from nine locations (six remote) with about 65 staff. By 2016 its ICT was failing — multiple, inconsistent phone systems, marginal internet performance, heavy reliance on cloud apps and mobile data — which harmed internal communications, collaboration and staff productivity.

Ironbark implemented a Mitel Connect unified communications VoIP solution across all sites, introduced a new public cloud infrastructure with Remote Desktop Services and migrated email and collaboration to Office 365 (Skype for Business integration). The changes delivered faster networking and application response, a single IP telephony experience with handset mobility and Outlook voicemail, more flexible desktop access, reduced annual IT spend and noticeably improved staff connectivity and productivity.
