A Mitel Case Study
Minnie's Food Pantry, founded in 2008 by Dr. Cheryl "Action" Jackson in Dallas, provides healthy meals and "red-carpet" service to families in need and has grown from a 500 sq. ft. space to nearly 17,000 sq. ft., distributing about 8.5 million meals. Rapid growth and higher public profile created a communications gap among employees, donors and the families Minnie's serves, threatening efficient operations, donor relations and the ability to scale services.
Mitel implemented an all‑in‑one hosted VoIP solution (MiCloud Connect, MiCloud Contact Center and Mitel Teamwork) that unified communications, improved call routing/forwarding and added collaboration and mobile tools. The upgrade increased operational efficiency, boosted fundraising and donor engagement through better call handling and recording-enabled training, and ensured families receive timely, consistent support while positioning Minnie's to scale into a community training and resource center.
