For the landmark London Series 2019, Major League Baseball staged its first regular-season games in Europe at London Stadium, and Mitel was engaged to help convert the venue into a functioning baseball park in less than one month. The project required custom communications and a secure UC solution covering dugouts, bullpens, the press box, clubhouses and the MLB Replay Operations Center in New York, all while complying with MLB rules and matching the standardized user experience of North American ballparks.

Mitel deployed MiVoice Business, 6920 IP phones, weatherproof bullpen and dugout phones and MiContact Center call accounting to meet those requirements and complete the installation on a tight timeline. The result was a secure, standardized communications system across venues that enabled consistent phone and replay workflows for managers, players, officials and fans, advancing MLB’s digital transformation as it expanded into international markets.
