Case Study: Major League Baseball achieves standardized stadium communications and faster pace of play with Mitel

A Mitel Case Study

Preview of the Major League Baseball Case Study

Major League Baseball - Customer Case Study

Major League Baseball needed to modernize communications across all 30 ballparks and its New York replay operations center after finding disparate equipment and outdated phones causing inconsistent user experiences and game delays from unmonitored dugout phone use. With a tight window to complete deployment before the season, MLB required a secure, standardized UC solution that would enforce phone-use rules, record and monitor calls, and deliver a common experience league-wide.

Mitel implemented MiVoice Business with 6920 IP phones and weatherproof bullpen/dugout handsets, plus a virtualized platform for the replay center and MiContact Center Call Accounting for recording and monitoring. The rapid, league-wide rollout kept play uninterrupted, enabled call verification for rule compliance, improved pace of play through enforced phone usage, and simplified operations with a single system to learn and maintain.
