Case Study: Barbour achieves 80% support cost reduction and streamlined communications with Mitel IP Solution

A Mitel Case Study

Preview of the Barbour Case Study

Leading fashion brand Barbour saves costs and improves communication efficiencies with a Mitel IP Solution

J. Barbour & Sons, the British heritage fashion brand selling in 29 countries, needed to improve communication efficiency and avoid the high cost of relocating its telephone infrastructure. With three separate phone systems across UK sites, support costs were excessive and routine administration (moves, adds and changes) was time-consuming.

Barbour engaged Waterstons to deploy a Mitel IP solution (Mitel 3300 ICP with Mitel 5212 phones) to consolidate systems into a single networked platform. The rollout cut support costs by 80%, removed the need for a dedicated phone-system administrator, simplified provisioning, standardized handsets and voicemail, and enabled free site-to-site calls over the WAN; Barbour is now planning a global rollout and integration with Microsoft Exchange and Office Communications Server for presence and collaboration.
