Maplesoft Consulting, an Ottawa-based professional services firm with about 70 employees and 300 consultants working globally, needed to make dispersed teams operate as if they were in the same building. Maplesoft implemented Mitel Communications Suite on Sun servers plus Mitel Unified IP Client for Sun Ray and Mitel Unified Communicator (UC) Advanced (softphone, Dynamic Extension, Knowledge Management and TeleCollaboration). The rollout virtualized desktops and telephony, enabled anywhere calling and intuitive videoconferencing, simplified IT and security, sped up new-user ramp-up and branch expansion, and cut travel and operational costs while improving client-facing CRM and collaboration.
