A Mitel Case Study
Rancho Cucamonga, a planned California city of nearly 200,000 residents, faced a growing problem: an aging, costly phone system that was hard to support and undermined the city’s ability to deliver reliable public services. City leaders needed a modern, manageable communications platform to keep staff accessible across dozens of facilities and better serve the community.
The city deployed Mitel Connect ONSITE—including work groups, the Connect mobile app, Emergency Gateway E911, enhanced paging and Active Directory integration—across roughly 1,000 lines and many public sites. The upgrade improved reliability and access, met budget requirements, sped call routing and responses (from animal services to the box office), increased staff productivity and transparency, and enabled faster emergency notifications and field response.
