A Mitel Case Study
ActionAid is an international charity with regional, affiliate and country offices across Africa, Asia, the Americas and Europe; its work depends on reliable communications but was hampered by a patchwork of disparate systems, high global call costs (notably an expensive 64k link in Ghana) and the need to support staff working in the field while maximizing funds for its programmes.
ActionAid migrated to a Mitel IP solution — including the Mitel 3300 IP Communications Platform, Teleworker and Quick Conference — replacing legacy PBXs in key sites and linking remote offices via IP. The deployment unified communications, improved collaboration and field connectivity, delivered fast ROI and generated at least £50,000 in savings within six months, with further network upgrades planned.
