California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), a 236‑acre campus serving about 36,000 students, needed a sustainable, collaborative and visionary video solution to deliver state‑of‑the‑art audio/video, boost productivity and collaboration, reduce travel costs, and provide an affordable desktop video option without sacrificing quality.

CSUF deployed Aastra BluStar 8000i Desktop Media Phones with a BluStar Application Server—13" touchscreens delivering true HD 720p video, superior audio with voice‑tracking microphones, and business collaboration features. Ten units were rolled out for campus leaders with strong positive feedback on quality and ease‑of‑use; the project has improved face‑to‑face collaboration, reduced travel, and is being considered for wider deployment across the Cal State system.
