National Australia Bank (NAB) needed better control, visibility, and consistency across its global payments, messages, confirmations, and settlement processes, while reducing risk, costs, and manual effort. To address these challenges, NAB worked with Misys and used Misys FusionBanking Message Manager as a centralized payments integration hub.
Misys implemented a solution that automated payments processing, validation, reconciliation, and netting across multiple systems, improving tracking and exception handling while reducing reliance on legacy applications. The results included almost eliminating manual payment generation, improving customer service and operational control, and raising STP rates from about 60% to 84% for complex capital markets payments, along with lower maintenance costs and faster response to regulatory changes.
