Vodafone employees achieve big productivity gains with Power Platform while maintaining high governance standards

Vodafone, a leading telecommunications company, needed to streamline internal business processes and scale low-code development across its 10,000+ workforce while maintaining strong governance as usage of Power Platform grew to more than 1,000 solutions. To meet this challenge, Vodafone adopted Microsoft Power Apps and other Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power BI, Microsoft Dataverse for Teams, SharePoint Online) to empower both citizen developers and professional teams to build and automate workflows.

Using Microsoft Power Apps, Vodafone implemented a Center of Excellence (COE) Starter Kit, automated onboarding and environment controls, and numerous apps for payments, resource planning, testing, and events. The solution delivered measurable impact: a payments app cut customer payments managed by one team by 40%, test-request processing improved by 70% enabling 60% more requests per month, an event app handled 3,900 registrations across 60 sessions, and the COE helped achieve “zero open risk” for Power Platform governance while greatly accelerating solution delivery.
