House of Fraser, the UK department store retailer, needed to modernize its shopping experience as customer behavior shifted toward digital channels. The company wanted a flexible public cloud foundation for a five-year transformation, and it chose Microsoft Corporation’s Azure cloud to support a new multi-channel, multi-brand e-commerce strategy.

Microsoft Corporation implemented Azure as the core platform for House of Fraser’s digital marketing, website, order management, and electronic point-of-sale systems, with integration through MuleSoft and SAP Hybris. The result was a scalable, consistent infrastructure that reduced key page load times and handled a record Black Friday 2017 surge of 1.7 million visitors and 10 million page views without disruption.
