Swisscom, Switzerland’s largest telecom provider, wanted to create a more engaging, brand-specific customer experience by building a multilingual voice assistant for its digital TV and streaming services. To do this, Swisscom used Microsoft Azure, specifically Azure Cognitive Services Speech, instead of an off-the-shelf voice agent.
Microsoft Azure helped Swisscom build and launch Swisscom Voice Assistant in under nine months, using Text to Speech and Custom Neural Voice to support French, Italian, English, and German. The solution created a consistent digital brand ambassador, improved customer experience, provided insights into customer interactions, and supported future expansion without re-recording new audio each time.
