Machefert Group, a family-run independent hotel group based in Paris with 19 hotels and multiple F&B outlets, faced the twin challenge of making online bookings frictionless while cutting credit card fraud. After joining Mews in 2017, they looked to streamline the guest payment experience and strengthen transaction security without sacrificing conversion or guest convenience.

Mews implemented Mews Payments (white‑labelled with Stripe), delivering a PCI‑compliant, encrypted payment flow that stores card data in the Mews cloud and automates transactions to minimize clicks. Combined with Stripe’s KYC checks and a human verification step at check‑in, the Mews solution sped up bookings, improved security and helped Machefert Group maintain a relatively low fraud rate while simplifying operations.
