A sales contest with a mystery twist

Samsung, the world’s top mobile phone brand, needed to keep frontline retail staff product‑knowledgeable and motivated during COVID lockdowns when field teams couldn’t visit stores. To solve this, Samsung used Mevo and its MevoApp to run time‑limited, gamified campaigns in electronics store chains to incentivize sales and learning.

Mevo implemented a mystery‑themed sales contest via MevoApp that combined multiple‑choice quizzes, personal messaging, a live countdown and stream for the S21 launch, and points for pre‑sales to drive engagement. The campaign produced measurable results: quiz points tracked alongside sales, staff stayed up to date for the launch, and close to 90% of sales staff reported being more motivated to sell Samsung after the contest, demonstrating Mevo’s impact on knowledge and sales.
