A Mercer Mettl Case Study
Howard University, a private research university in Washington, D.C., needed to move its high-stakes fellowship exams online during COVID-19 while maintaining security, integrity, and a smooth candidate experience. The university also wanted to reduce the heavy manual workload on faculty and find a reliable platform that could support live proctoring, anti-cheating controls, and broader access for applicants.
Mercer Mettl implemented its EXAMIN end-to-end online examination and proctoring platform with live proctors, secure browser controls, AI-assisted monitoring, and low-bandwidth support. As a result, Howard University was able to host exams without challenges, save about 40 staff hours, avoid delivery or connectivity issues, and extend its exam reach while preserving exam integrity and compliance.
