Chordify, a California-based IT services and consulting firm, faced slow, manual and often biased technical hiring for niche roles—sifting through dozens of resumes, running multiple interview rounds, and lacking clear, role-specific assessment capability. To address this, Chordify partnered with Mercer Mettl to deploy a modern hiring stack including Mercer Mettl’s coding assessments, the Mettl I/O simulator and AI-enabled proctoring to create repeatable, objective and role-based evaluations.

Mercer Mettl delivered a combined solution of extensive coding tests (100,000+ questions across 300+ skills), hands-on Mettl I/O simulators, auto-grading and secure proctoring, digitizing Chordify’s technical screening end-to-end. The result: faster, evidence-based decisions, a dramatic drop in resumes per role from double-digits to two, improved submitted-to-hire ratios, reduced time-to-hire and lower costs, and scalable, bias-free shortlisting that Chordify extended to additional business units.
