Reckitt Benckiser, a global leader in consumer health and hygiene, needed to convert its flagship RB Global Challenge ideathon to a fully virtual format when the COVID-19 pandemic made in-person events impossible. To assess business acumen at scale and preserve collaborative team-based problem solving, Reckitt Benckiser partnered with Mercer Mettl to use its ideathon platform and case study simulator.

Mercer Mettl co‑designed the digital event, integrating a collaborative ideathon platform with a gamified case study simulator, 24x7 support, scheduling and submissions management, and post‑event analytics. The solution enabled Reckitt Benckiser to run the Global Challenge across 32 geographies and multiple time zones, delivering strong registration, high‑quality ideas and talent, faster turnaround and comprehensive data reports that validated the successful virtual shift.
