A Mercer Mettl Case Study
Türkiye Finans Katılım Bankası, a leading Turkish Islamic bank, needed to identify and measure IT technical capabilities, establish backup/succession plans, and retain high-potential staff as part of its digital transformation agenda. To meet this challenge the bank engaged Mercer Mettl and launched the NEXT Information Systems Talent Management Program, leveraging Mercer Mettl’s digital assessment platform for potential inventories, 9‑box evaluations and online behavioral and technical evaluation centers.
Mercer Mettl delivered an end-to-end solution—critical role identification, tailored evaluation criteria, potential assessments and remote evaluation-center applications in Turkish—which allowed the process to continue uninterrupted during the pandemic. The Mercer Mettl-supported program yielded concrete results: Türkiye Finans won the IDC Turkey CIO Awards Future of Work (Talent Management) prize, promoted a talent from the pool to Manager, received strong positive employee feedback, and implemented targeted training and development plans to boost retention and capability development.
