VLCC Healthcare Limited, an Indian multinational in weight management, beauty and personal care with about 4,000 employees across 323 locations in 150 cities, needed a better way to measure L&D ROI and to uncover a defined set of competencies among high performers at scale. To do this they engaged Mercer Mettl and sought an assessment-driven solution to benchmark skills, identify gaps, and extend findings across their global footprint.
Mercer Mettl delivered a tailored assessment suite — starting with a 35‑candidate skill‑gap pilot, a comprehensive psychometric battery, situation/scenario‑based questions and customizable content — and rolled it out (135 employees in the first batch). The solution improved VLCC’s L&D ROI, standardized processes across Malaysia, Dubai, Singapore and Qatar, and led VLCC to expand its partnership with Mercer Mettl to improve recruitment and Quality of Hire for frontline and territorial sales roles.
