How Mercer | Mettl created multiskilling technical assessments for an IT services giant’s 100,000+ employees across India and the Philippines

Multinational Company, a global IT services and consulting leader, wanted to build a more flexible, multiskilled tech workforce across India and the Philippines by measuring and developing employees’ competency in at least one additional skill beyond their core roles. To support this large-scale learning initiative it partnered with Mercer Mettl to integrate a technology-driven assessment solution into its competency program portal and accurately evaluate technical skills.

Mercer Mettl delivered a customized digital assessment platform (including SME-designed blueprints, auto‑grading reports, AI proctoring and the Codelysis coding simulator) and integrated it with the company’s global LKM portal. The vendor created 650+ unique assessments across 500+ industry and IT skills and successfully assessed 100,000+ employees, producing detailed, bias‑free analytics and certifications that increased proficiency levels, enabled multiskilling at scale, and improved workforce productivity and resource utilization.
