Leading Rice Processing Company, a major Indian processor of rice and specialty foods with nearly ₹3,000 crore in revenue and five manufacturing facilities, needed a high-predictability way to hire FMCG Sales Executives who would perform well and fit culturally. They engaged Mercer Mettl to apply Predictive Validation and the Mettl FMCG Sales Executive Assessment to build a reliable selection framework.
Mercer Mettl conducted a detailed job analysis and administered the assessment — combining the Mettl Personality Inventory, Motivation Inventory and cognitive measures of Sales Knowledge and Customer Focus — to 150 candidates. Using Predictive Validation against organizational performance data, Mercer Mettl found 78% of recommended candidates were High or Medium performers, doubled the effectiveness of filtering out low performers (2X), and improved identification of high performers by 1.5X.
