A Mercer Mettl Case Study

Preview of the American Multinational Technology Company Case Study

Hiring diverse candidates from technology & business schools across the nation

The American Multinational Technology Company, a Seattle‑based Big Four firm focused on e‑commerce, cloud, digital streaming and AI, wanted to run a diversity hiring drive tied to International Women’s Day to recruit female talent from technology and business schools across India. Faced with the need to attract, assess and integrate diverse student candidates nationwide and to manage end‑to‑end online contest execution, the company engaged Mercer Mettl and its Mettl Hackathon platform to deliver a scalable solution.

Mercer Mettl implemented the Mettl Hackathon platform to conduct online assessments followed by face‑to‑face interviews, using a state‑of‑the‑art simulator, a dedicated landing page and targeted social media promotion. The event attracted about 6,500 registrants from Tier‑1 tech and business schools, enabled the company to hire women candidates, improve its female‑to‑male employee ratio and strengthen its employer brand around gender equality.
