A Mercer Mettl Case Study

Preview of the Global Digital Infrastructure Service Company Case Study

Cross pollinating a workforce to make them future fit & digital ready

Global Digital Infrastructure Service Company, a leading provider of global digital infrastructure services operating in ~200 countries, faced rapid industry disruption and needed a scientific way to build a succession-planning pipeline. The company sought to cross-pollinate its workforce to become future-fit and digital-ready, understand which roles would be most impacted and their learning needs, and identify employees with the potential to lead transformation. To address this, they engaged Mercer Mettl and used the Mettl Learning Agility Assessment.

Mercer Mettl mapped job families, role descriptions and KRAs to identify key skills for DGM and Manager profiles, created a redundancy index and a Proximity Index to compare skills across job families, and administered the Mettl Learning Agility Assessment. As a result, Mercer Mettl produced prioritized proximity-role recommendations, identified targeted training needs and required training intensity, and enabled clearer succession pathways and internal mobility—helping the company spot transformation-ready talent and plan focused interventions for future readiness.
